Introduction
This page is discussing about the work item that a tester use to work with un the development team. There are several work items that a tester work with to perform its validation activity. We are going to see the detail of the work item and its relation to a tester.
What Work Item a tester works
Tester in a development team should know the work item of a Sprint backlogged. The sprint backlogged contains various types of work item such as stories, bugs, regression bugs. technical activities , task, incidents and other depending on the situation Some of the known work items that a sprint backlogged contain are the following
- PBI – Product Backlogged Items – Mainly used to address user new requirments
- TUS – Technical User Story – A work item mainy used to address technical development of a product – Like DB Creation, Refactoring, e.t.c
- REG – Regression Bug – A bug happened due to a new development
- BUG – Bug – This is a story related Bug,
- Incidents – Incidents Reported in most case by Business People / End Users as they are using the product and face an issue.
Testers are working with all the work items. In all the work items, testers role is to validate the fix, functionality against user requirement in order to make sure that the product is working as expected after the fix as well as development.
